I love to see the dawn come, pink and red,
And merging orange with a tint of gold,
The sky in early morning from my bed
Is oh so glorious, beauteous to behold.
I love to see the sky at noon, so blue,
So clear, so sharp, dotted with clouds of
white.
Sunshine brightens the day in shades of hue,
The glorious day makes my dull spirit light.
I love to see the sky at dusk, night falls,
The sun descends, gathering dark velvet
Like a quilt across the sky, it blankets all
In peaceful slumber, comforted by it.
Velvet sky pierced by stars so far away
